Abstract

Among the functions of management, motivation is one of the most important. The concept of "motivation" comes from the Latin word "movere," which means "to strive for a goal" or "to move." In modern definitions, motivation is also associated with these concepts. It is a driving force that provides an incentive for individuals to take action. For any healthcare professional, it is crucial to consider motivation not in a general sense, but from the perspective of management, which is directly related to the workplace and employees. The motivation function ensures communication between employees and employers, as well as the establishment of healthy business relationships. The article discusses motivation theories and various means of motivation. The effectiveness of using various means of motivation has been established in several cases, using specific institutions as examples. The article also presents various ways and methods of motivating employees. Based on research and observations, it has been established that the planning and implementation of various incentive measures have a positive impact on the quality of employees' work, increase the productivity of each individual, and help management achieve maximum efficiency. Organizations that actively implement motivational measures for their employees have a higher chance of success, as they have loyal and stable employees who are actively involved in achieving common goals. Implementing a motivational function is beneficial for any organization. The main thing is that managers take into account certain recommendations and know how to properly conduct the motivation process.
