Publishing Ethics

Publication Ethics of «Eurasian Journal of Entrepreneurship» journal regulates the relationship between the publisher, scientific editor, members of the editorial board, authors of scientific articles and reviewers in the process of publication.

The journal's publication ethics define the standards of conduct for scientific editors, editorial board members, reviewers and authors; measures to identify conflicts of interest; unethical behavior; instructions for retracting and correcting articles; and publication of corrections and retractions.

The publication ethics of the journal complies with the requirements of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Ethical Principles of Publication of Scopus (Elsevier) Journals, and the AlmaU Code of Ethics for Scientific Research .

Each author, scientific editor, reviewer, editor- in-chief, member of the editorial board of «Eurasian Journal of Entrepreneurship» journal is obliged to strictly observe the principles and norms of publication ethics. Adherence to ethical principles is important both to ensure high quality publication of scientific journals and to build trust and respect among participants in the publication process.

Publishing Ethics (AlmaU):

In their work, the publishers of AlmaU scientific journal adhere to the following ethical principles:

  1. Create the necessary conditions for compliance with publication ethics standards by all participants in the editorial process – members of the editorial board, scientific editors, reviewers and authors.
  2. Take measures to prevent violations of ethical standards, including supporting the editorial board in considering received complaints and claims.
  3. Guarantee the confidentiality of information related to the publication process, with the exception of information subject to open access in accordance with the editorial policy of the journal.
  4. Provide the editorial board with freedom in making decisions on the publication of scientific materials, guided by the principles of scientific validity, objectivity, transparency and the results of independent peer review.

 

 

Publication ethics of the editorial board

  1. The editorial board of the journal makes the final decision on the publication of manuscripts based on their compliance with editorial requirements and the results of expert review.
  2. When making decisions, the provisions of the editorial policy are taken into account and materials that violate scientific or publication ethics, plagiarism or copyright infringement are excluded.
  3. The responsibility for decisions on whether to publish or reject manuscripts lies entirely with the editors.
  4. In case of detection of false data, ethical violations, duplicate publications or plagiarism, the editors are obliged to initiate the procedure of article retraction.
  5. Manuscripts are assessed solely on their scientific content, regardless of personal, demographic, political or commercial factors concerning the authors.
  6. All information about submitted manuscripts is considered confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties other than the authors, reviewers and the publisher.
  7. Rejected manuscripts may not be used by members of the editorial board for personal research purposes without the written consent of the author(s).
  8. If there is a conflict of interest (personal, professional or financial), the editors are obliged to refuse to consider the manuscript.
  9. All participants in the publication process are required to disclose potential conflicts of interest.
  10. If a member of the editorial board has a conflict of interest, he/she is obliged to notify the scientific editor, who will transfer the work to another editor without conflict.
  11. The editorial board is responsible for the development of the journal, respect for freedom of opinion and satisfaction of the professional needs of authors and readers.
  12. Commercial or other outside interests should not influence editorial decisions about publication.
  13. The editors are responsible for the publication of materials with signs of ethical violations, including plagiarism, self-plagiarism, unethical behavior and excessive self-citation.
  14. In the event of detection of violations of scientific or publication ethics, the scientific editor must, by decision of the editorial board, initiate a retraction of the article.
  15. The editors are obliged to consider complaints received in writing (on paper or by email) indicating the name of the applicant, contact information and description of the violations, and to respond within 30 calendar days.
  16. Anonymous claims will not be considered or given an official response.
  17. The editors undertake to take reasonable steps to consider claims related to violations of ethics, both in submitted and published materials.
  18. If violations are confirmed, the editors have the right to refuse publication or initiate retraction of a previously published article, as well as to terminate cooperation with the author(s) on this material.

Principles of the publication ethics for authors

  1. The author(s), by submitting a manuscript to the editors, confirms that it has not been previously published, has not been sent to, and is not being considered by other publications.
  2. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals at the same time is considered a violation of ethical standards for scientific publication.
  3. The author(s) guarantee that the submitted work is original, independent and does not contain unfair borrowing (plagiarism).
  4. In the case of a collective author's work, the main author (the one who made the greatest contribution to the research) should be listed first.
  5. All persons who have made a significant contribution to the research should be included as co-authors.
  6. The corresponding (contact) author is obliged to ensure that all co-authors are correctly indicated in the manuscript.
  7. All authors listed in the article are responsible for its content.
  8. The contact author should send to the editor only those materials that have been approved by all co-authors.
  9. The author(s) bear full responsibility for any violations of scientific and publication ethics, including: plagiarism, self-plagiarism, fabrication or falsification of data, unfair citation, concealment of conflicts of interest, false or misleading authorship.
  10. When using ideas, data or fragments of other people's work, the author(s) must provide correct references to the original sources.
  11. Any form of plagiarism—including unattributed quotations, unattributed paraphrasing, and appropriation of ideas, data, or text—is considered unacceptable and unethical.
  12. If errors are discovered at any stage of the publication process, the author(s) are obliged to immediately notify the editors, assist in their correction and, if necessary, publish an Erratum / Corrigendum or retract the article.
  13. The author(s) should correctly format all sources used in the bibliography, especially those that have had a significant influence on the course of the research.
  14. When conducting research involving human participants, if the research is conducted within an institution or supported by an organization, the author(s) must obtain approval from the institutional research committee (if applicable) before the start of the research and indicate this in the manuscript.
  15. Upon request by the editor, authors should provide evidence that the research described in the paper received appropriate approvals and was conducted ethically (e.g. copies of approvals, licenses, participant consent forms).
  16. At the request of the editors or reviewer, the author(s) undertake(s) to provide additional data or materials confirming the reliability and validity of the research results.
  17. The author(s) have an obligation to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the interpretation or evaluation of the presented material.
  18. Interaction with the editorial board, including during review, should be based on mutual respect and adherence to scientific ethics, especially when expressing criticism or comments.
  19. Violation of the above ethical standards is regarded as a serious violation of publication ethics and may result in the manuscript being rejected for publication or withdrawn from review.

Principles of the publication ethics for reviewers

  1. The reviewer undertakes to conduct an objective and impartial peer review of the manuscript. Personal comments or criticism addressed to author (s) are not allowed .
  2. All conclusions, proposals and decisions of the reviewer must be justified and supported by arguments - especially in the case of a recommendation to reject the manuscript.
  3. The evaluation of a manuscript should not depend on nationality, citizenship, personal relationship with the author(s), as well as commercial, political or other extraneous factors.
  4. The review should help the editors make an informed decision about publication, and also help the author(s) improve the quality of the submitted material.
  5. The manuscript submitted for review is considered a confidential document and is not subject to disclosure.
  6. The reviewer has no right to discuss the contents of the manuscript with third parties without the permission of the scientific editor and/or the author(s).
  7. Unpublished materials submitted for review may not be used by the reviewer for personal or professional purposes outside the context of preparing the review.
  8. Information, ideas and data obtained during the review process should not be used by the reviewer for personal, professional or other gain.
  9. The reviewer is obliged to provide constructive recommendations for improving the content of the manuscript, and to point out weaknesses and possible improvements.
  10. If similarities with already published works are discovered, the reviewer is obliged to notify the editors of possible duplication or plagiarism.
  11. If signs of scientific misconduct are detected - including plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification of results or other violations of scientific and publication ethics - the reviewer should notify the editor and recommend rejection of the manuscript.
  12. The reviewer must adhere to the established deadlines. If it is impossible to prepare the review on time, he/she must promptly notify the editors about this.
  13. A reviewer should decline to consider a manuscript if he or she has a conflict of interest related to the author(s), organization, or content of the study.
  14. If a reviewer believes that he/she does not have sufficient qualifications to objectively evaluate the content of a manuscript, he/she should notify the editor and refuse to review.

 

 

Compliance of the principles of the publication ethics

  1. In the event of violations of publication ethics being identified, a thorough investigation must be carried out taking into account current regulations. and professional ethical standards.
  2. When considering cases of unethical behavior by participants in the publication process, the principle of confidentiality must be strictly observed.
  3. Ethical conflicts are recommended to be resolved through open and constructive dialogue between stakeholders.
  4. All cases of violations of publication ethics are considered formally, in accordance with the provisions set out in the next section.

 

Filing and handling formal complaints

  1. A complaint from the author(s) regarding violations of scientific and/or publication ethics, as well as unethical behavior on the part of participants in the publication process (scientific editor, member(s) of the editorial board, reviewer(s) of a scientific journal, is submitted to the Ethics Committee of AlmaU. The complaint is submitted in writing (paper or electronic), with the signature of the applicant(s), indicating the full name and contact information.
  2. Anonymous complaints will not be considered unless there is a direct threat to life, health or property.
  3. The applicant(s) have the right to withdraw the complaint at any stage of its consideration.
  4. The person(s) against whom the complaint has been filed have the right to provide written explanations and refuting materials, as well as to file an appeal against the decision of the Ethics Committee.

 

Measures at violation publication ethics

  1. All cases of alleged violations will be promptly and impartially investigated. results investigations is being prepared official protocol Ethical commissions .
  2. In case of confirmed violations, the Ethics Committee is authorized to apply disciplinary measures, including reprimand, severe reprimand, demotion or dismissal, if the participant(s) in the publication process is(are) AlmaU employee(s) .

  1. All participants in the publication process (authors, editors, editorial board members, reviewers) are personally responsible for compliance with the norms and principles of publication ethics.
  2. This standard is mandatory for all participants in the publication process (authors, editors, members of editorial boards, reviewers) and may be amended or supplemented due to changes in regulatory documents or the need to take into account unresolved situations.
  3. Members of the Ethics Committee are responsible for taking appropriate measures in the event of a violation of ethical standards.
  4. Authors of manuscripts are required to strictly follow the principles of publication ethics at all stages of manuscript preparation and submission.
